Social media is constantly changing, and 2015 has already seen a number of huge developments. Some of them might even require you to recalibrate your social media strategy. Read on to find out what you need to know!
Facebook “At Work” launched in early 2015. It’s a business-friendly social app designed to keep business teams connected. It allows employees to have professional profiles separate from their personal accounts, which keeps your boss’s eyes off your late-night status updates. There are also new features in Facebook Groups that improve the buy and sell experience. Buying and selling groups have become very popular, and this change puts a “sell” button next to the “post” button inside one of those groups. These changes come at the same time that Photo posts are getting their lowest ever organic reach. Lower, in fact, than any other type of post for Facebook pages. The good news is that video is getting way more play. Twitter has upped its game, too, with new group direct messages for conversation between up to twenty people and video of up to thirty seconds long. More big changes will no doubt be on their way in the near future, so stay tuned!
