In case you didn’t know… we’re holding our second annual “Brainstorm” event this fall – November 21-23 in Las Vegas. This is the first in series of posts about that event, and why you want to be there.
What’s wrong with most live events (this may sound familiar!)
Several years ago, a client of mine spent over $2000 going to a search engine marketing conference, because he liked one of the speakers, and just had to see them in person.
He (the client) wanted me to go along, so we could come up with a new marketing plan, after receiving this speaker’s amazing wisdom in person.
I had to go anyway (I was speaking myself), so I agreed to tag along with the client to that particular session. After sitting through that speakers 12-minute presentation with him, I had to ask… “was it worth it?”
Of course it wasn’t worth it – the presentation was short (that’s how most conferences still operate) and incomplete. The primary purpose was to get people to give the speaker their business cards at the end.
Brainstorm isn’t that kind of an event.
In fact, we’ll have 6-7 keynote sessions, plus numerous breakout sessions, but the goal here isn’t to have you sit through a bunch of presentations, hand a bunch of speakers your business card, and walk away confused.
We want you to go home with a plan for how you are going to grow your online business for the next year – tailored to your specific needs and your own strengths.
How will we accomplish that? For starters, you’re not going to spend all of your time listening!
In fact, you’ll spend a lot of time in group sessions, talking with other participants about how to solve specific problems in your business, and make the most of the opportunities you have.
Let’s say, hypothetically, that one of our speakers showed you how you could do a little bit of analysis on your email list, and boost your sales from email marketing by 30% or more.
Let’s say we gave them a whole hour to explain it all in detail – not 12 minutes!
Then, let’s say you don’t just walk away from the presentation and forget it all, because we’ve got “birds of a feather” brainstorming sessions happening right after.
We started doing these last year, and it means that retailers can talk to other retailers, consultants can talk to other consultants, and so on – about what they all just learned, and how to put it to work in their business.
That’s one big difference between Brainstorm and other events – and in our experience, it radically improves the results our attendees experience after the event.
Moving your business into “rapid growth” mode should be the only goal!
After all, attending conferences is fun, but the biggest benefit we can give you is to make sure that your business starts growing faster, as a *direct* result of your participation.
That means bringing in the best experts we can find, giving them the time to teach, and giving you the time to think about how you’re going to use what you have learned.
There’s a lot more I’d like to tell you, but this is a long enough post already.
So over the next several days, I’ll lay out the whole “Braintrust Blueprint” – how we systematically transform our clients’ businesses, and how you can transform yours, starting today.
I’ll give you real life examples, simple actions you can take right away, and explain why you need to be doing this stuff, even if you aren’t coming to Las Vegas this fall.
I think you’ll get a lot out of this series, and if you pay attention, the payoff (in terms of actual money in your pocket) will come pretty quickly.
I’m excited to be able to bring this to you, and we’ll be in touch real soon.
P.S. If you’ve already signed up, great – you should still read the rest of these messages, because they *will* make you more money. If you haven’t… head on over to this page and get it done.
