When you’re just starting out with your digital marketing, growing your following into the thousands can seem like an impossible task. But everybody started somewhere, and if you follow the right path, you too can become a social media juggernaut. It won’t happen overnight, but with patience and strategy, you’ll get there in time.
The first thing you need to do is establish and polish your profiles. You’ll have to register and claim your business username on each of the major social networks including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Pinterest. Use professionally-designed graphics for these profiles; if your social media profiles don’t look professional, nobody will take them seriously. Once you’re set up, try typing your name into Google to make sure that everything that comes up is professional-looking. When you start pushing content through your social media sites, you should always have a clear call to action. That way visitors will know what you want them to do next, whether it’s watch a video, read a blog post, or check out a deal on your website. Build a foundation of content before you start promoting it, too. Five or ten posts on your blog will keep a reader on your site, but if you start promoting when you only have one, your reader will leave right away. There’s a lot that goes into building the perfect social media ecosystem for your business. Find out more about it below.
