Google Releases “Disavow Link” Tool at Pubcon

Google’s Matt Cutts made an announcement at Pubcon, about their new tool allowing webmasters to “disavow” links. Lisa’s writeup here is okay, but she’s live blogging so cut her a break if she didn’t get every question you have answered.

We will know more over the next few days, and we’ll keep you posted on anything that comes up of note.

Among the obvious questions: “can I use this thing to get rid of the penalty I got from buying a bunch of blogroll links, spamming a bunch of innocent bloggers, and creating 84,567 fake forum profiles?”
