How to double your traffic – on demand

Last updated: September 29, 2015 By Leslie Rohde

What if… there was a source of free traffic that could be turned on at will. Plus – since we’re dreaming here – what if this source was nearly unlimited and converted better than any other free source?

email-traffic-pulses

This is not a dream – this is email.

The graph above is the traffic to our website over a 30 day period and the 5 ‘pulses’ are the result of us mailing our list. Some of those mailings are purely promotional, but most of them are content – just like this blog post. Anytime we want to double traffic, all we have to do is mail our list.

But there is a catch.

You do have to have something to send! The emails on your list are real people that have some relationship with you and your company and, like all relationships, they need nurturing. If you neglect your list and let it grow stale, or don’t provide content of value, then this otherwise magical traffic source will rapidly dry up.

But if you provide a stream of valuable information that your readers can use to enhance their own lives then they will train themselves to open your mail and click your links – just like you’re reading this message now.

So where is that valuable content going to come from?

If you are not doing regular mailing now, that’s probably why – you don’t have content.

But what if… there was a system that created new, relevant and valuable content each week and mailed it to your list? And – since we’re dreaming here – suppose we took this cool content and also used it on our blog to create more organic long tail traffic and then let’s post it to social too. That would give us content in search, social, and email – all three sources of free traffic.

Of course, you know this is not a dream – it’s an offer 🙂

Our content marketing service creates 60 blog posts each month, 60 posts to Facebook and Twitter, 20 posts to Google+ and LinkedIn, and one content rich email each week. Plus, along with each mail is a promotion block that you control.

You can build this same system yourself, we’ve totally disclosed it here, or you could have us do this for you at a cost less than a single minimum wage employee.

You can argue that social doesn’t work and that search is dead (wrong and wrong) but email has a 100% success rate – there is not a single client that has not made money by mailing or made more money by mailing more often.

Having a well nurtured email list is as close as you will ever get to a system that prints money demand. If you are not doing this now, it should be at the top of your list. Either build it yourself or have us build it for you.
