Many people today send and receive hundreds of emails every day, and if you have your own business you likely know all too well how difficult it can be to make your emails stand out amongst the noise. If you want to send effective emails that don’t just land in the spam folder, there are a few rules you need to follow.
Whenever possible, try to send each email with the client’s name in the subject line or at least the first line of the email’s text. This will make the recipient much more likely to open your message. Next, avoid making your emails too long. Your clients are likely just as busy as you and don’t have time to read long, wandering emails. Get your point across in a short, concise way and they’re more likely to read the whole thing. A great message it about the customer and what you can do for them. Whether it’s a discount, a connection, or a great product or service, you have to convince them that you offer more than the competition. Be confident and persuasive but wary of coming across as pushy. Follow these rules, and you’ll have more luck with your next email campaign!
