“Link Building is Dead” – Replay

Last updated: February 6, 2018 By Dan Thies

Dan Thies

I’ve been doing SEO since before it even had a name, and “getting links” has been a big part of the puzzle for almost that long.

Everyone knows this, and everyone in the industry has their own methods for getting links.

Unfortunately, most of the methods that everyone knows about are only effective for certain kinds of businesses and websites.

– Does a local machine shop really need to do “thought leadership” blog posts?
– Does an online retailer of designer shoes really have any reason to send a press release?
– Does any reporter or blogger REALLY want to get your “outreach” emails?

Let’s face it – link building – as most people know it – completely sucks.

Even the people who do it for a living hate doing it.

There’s too much manual labor involved, and no matter how many cool little tricks you might learn over the years, the costs are never going down.

I quit doing “link building” years ago, and I’ve never looked back.

Personally, I stopped using those methods cold turkey a long time ago, and I haven’t looked back.

In all that time, I’ve never bought a link, sold a link, rented a link, or emailed strangers to beg for links.

Not for myself, and not for my clients. Strangely, my clients have still managed to get great results.

In fact, over the past year and a half, my clients have been experiencing a rate of traffic growth that I haven’t seen since the “good old days” of SEO.

We’re still *getting* links.

We’re just not BUILDING them. At all.

It’s a lot easier. It works a lot faster. And for full-time SEOs, it’s a lot easier to scale.

And I’ll show you how it all works in just a couple of days.

If you like getting more traffic, I hope you enjoy this video.

Thanks!
Dan
