Navigating Social Media In a Rebrand

Many businesses have to undergo rebranding efforts at some point, but the proliferation of social media has made that a more complicated process than ever before. All of your social channels should be kept consistent, which is easier said than done when a seismic shift in branding is on the way. How can you make it work?

While many companies like to keep their rebranding efforts under wraps until they’re ready to unleash their new identity into the world, this is a risky course of action. What if people react poorly to the change? Instead, try out your new logo or images from a new campaign on social media. That way, you can get feedback from your audience while generating excitement for the launch of your brand. Once you have your visual identity polished, go ahead and show it off on all of your social channels. Update your profile photos all in one sitting to make sure that all of them represent your company’s new visual identity. Then, you’ll need to edit your Google Business profile so that it matches up with your new brand. Once your entire online presence is up to speed, it’s time to announce the big rebrand!
