One effective strategy is to set your goals on a department-by-department basis. Most businesses have a marketing team, a sales team, and an operations team. These three branches might all be working toward one unified goal, but setting department-specific goals is always a great idea. Marketing can shoot for 500 new leads each month, for example, while your sales team can focus on matching your desired growth rate. Once everyone has a goal to work toward, you must set and maintain a reporting system. You should be keeping track of whether or not each department is meeting its goals every month, and use company-wide meetings to communicate next steps toward those goals. Do this effectively, and everyone on your team will be working in harmony toward the common good!
