If you want to turn your small business into a rousing success, it’s going to take a lot of hard work and persistence, and probably a dash of luck. Still, some business owners go above and beyond and reap much bigger rewards for their efforts. What traits do the most successful business owners display?
Most highly successful business owners are extremely disciplined. They’re up before sunrise so they can respond to emails, catch up on the news, or get a workout in before they head to the office. Early risers are, in general, happier and more productive than those who hit the snooze button multiple times a day. Great business owners are also utterly unafraid of competition. Great leaders generally excel at one or two areas of leadership, but can successfully cover for their deficiencies by excelling in other areas. Finally, the greatest business leaders out there have a life outside of their business. They spend time with family, but they also go to conferences, mingle with colleagues and competition, and generally find time to learn about new perspectives and opportunities.
