Entrepreneurs almost universally keep very tight schedules, trying to pack as much as possible into each and every day. There’s always more to do, one more goal to reach for. How can you keep each day moving efficiently and still have time for friends, family, and rest? Here’s what you should be doing each day.

First, you should start your day the night before. Start by checking your calendar for the next day. Review your appointments, calls, and any important deadlines so you know what’s coming. Get everything you need for the morning ready, be it your lunch, gym bag, or laptop and supplies. After a good night’s sleep, it’s always a good idea to get some exercise first thing in the morning. Give the dog a good long walk, or hit the gym. Movement in the morning will help kickstart your brain and give you more energy throughout the day. Once you’re at work, it’s time to get productive. Time batching, the practice of giving yourself blocks of an hour or two in which to focus on problem-solving and brainstorming, will help you to handle the work you need to do without being disturbed. Keeping yourself well-prepared and well-organized will help make each day a whole lot easier!
