What Do The Changes In Targeting in Facebook’s Power Editor Mean For Your Business?

Last updated: March 31, 2014 By Andrea Warner

Big changes are afoot in Facebook’s Power Editor!

Facebook is following through on their plans to incorporate Partner Categories into existing general targeting options.

Two Big Changes

There is another huge change…

Facebook is testing adding a completely new section for targeting users “Behaviors”.

How will these changes affect you?

We’ve noticed that using Partner Categories for targeting tends to cost more. We’ll be watching ad costs to see if they increase once Partner Categories are rolled into “More Demographics” & “Behaviors”.

Separating “Interests” from “Behaviors” will enable even more specific targeting. It will be interesting to see if more targeting options will lead to better conversions. We’ll keep our ‘testing hats’ on and let you know.

Have you seen these new targeting options yet in Power Editor?
