While there may not be any known health benefits to waking up early, there are certainly a ton of productivity benefits. If you’re happy as a night owl you might not want to hear it, but waking up early can do a world of good for anyone who has a long day of work ahead of them.
Getting up at the crack of dawn allows you to start the day right by greeting the sunset. It also lets you have a long, leisurely morning. You can get work done in the morning before heading to the office, and you’ll have a head start on all the folks that stumble in at 9:01 bleary-eyed, having just woken up. Even better, mornings are silent. No kids yelling, no cars blaring their horns; if you want a little “you” time, you can’t do any better than waking up early. That time can be used for reading, eating breakfast, or squeezing a workout in. Exercising in the morning even boosts your energy throughout the day. Finally, all of this newfound quiet alone time can really boost your productivity. Get some writing done, check emails, and review your goals for the day before heading to work. Sure, it can seem hard, but waking up early will be well worth it.
